Since the establishment of sister city relations between Jinan, Shandong Province, and Suwon, South Korea, in 1993, thanks to the joint efforts of the governments and people of both cities, relations in various fields have achieved comprehensive, in-depth, and rapid development, opening up vast opportunities for cultural exchanges.

As an important part of cultural exchanges between the two cities, the 16th China-South Korea Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition was grandly held in Jinan. This exhibition was not only another significant cultural exchange event between Jinan and Suwon but also a grand gathering for artists from both countries to showcase the charm of calligraphy art and promote cultural mutual learning.

Jinan International Communication Center reporters learned that at the exhibition site, over 120 paintings and calligraphy works from China and South Korea were displayed. Each work embodied the profound emotions and exquisite skills of the artists. These works not only demonstrated the unique charm of calligraphy art from both China and South Korea but also reflected the profound cultural heritage and long history of the two countries.

Calligraphers from Jinan and Suwon exchanged skills and discussed the essence of calligraphy art at the exhibition site. Through the blending of brush and ink, they not only improved their artistic skills but also enhanced mutual understanding and friendship between artists from the two cities. This face-to-face exchange allowed artists from both countries to gain a deeper understanding of each other's cultural traditions and artistic styles, contributing significantly to promoting cultural exchanges between Jinan and Suwon as friendly cities.
